Please click any of the links below to register and start an application with the Bellingham Housing Authority. Applications will only be accepted for households who meet Bellingham Housing Authority’s subsidy standards for the listed unit sizes below:
Located in the Birchwood Neighborhood of Bellingham for households with a member age 62 or older or persons with a disability. Tenants typically pay 30% of their income toward rent. This waiting list is currently closed.
Everson Meadows: Located in Everson specifically for households who earn income through agricultural employment. BHA is currently accepting applications for households that qualify for a 2 or 3 bedroom unit. To apply click here
Housing Choice Voucher: The Housing Choice Voucher program provides low-income community members with the opportunity to access affordable housing in the private market. Participants in the HCV program are responsible for locating suitable housing that is affordable through a combination of rent paid by the tenant, and subsidy paid by the Bellingham Housing Authority on behalf of the tenant. Payment standards apply for determining the maximum subsidy available to the family. Families may pay up to 40% of their income toward rent and utilities during the first year of assistance. Project Based Voucher - Varsity Village: Located in the Happy Valley neighborhood of Bellingham. Tenants typically pay 30% of their income toward rent. This waiting list is currently closed.
Sumas Square: Located in Sumas for households with a member age 62 and over. Tenants typically pay 30% of their income toward rent. This waiting list is currently closed.
