The Bellingham Whatcom County Housing Authority (BWCHA) regularly reviews its policies, procedures and plans furthering the agency mission to provide quality, affordable housing for low-and moderate-income families, elderly households, and persons with disabilities through innovative resource development and responsible stewardship of housing and fiscal resources.
The BWCHA is proposing changes to its 2019 Agency Plans with an anticipated implementation date of January 1st, 2019. The new changes update current policy.
At this time we are seeking the input of BWCHA residents, community partners and interested community members to provide feedback to the BWCHA Board of Commissioners and Staff before changes are reviewed and approved by the BWCHA Board of Commissioners.
Public comment period on the above Agency Plan changes will begin July 20, 2018 and end on September 7, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. The Housing Authority will be accepting written comments only.
A Public Hearing will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at the BWCHA administrative office at 208 Unity Street in Bellingham. The meetings will begin at 1:00PM and 1:10PM respectively.
