EXISTING APPLICANTS:
For applicants already on the waitlist, please notify the Housing Authority of any change in your mailing address, household composition, and household income by updating your information in the Resident Portal.
Program Summary:
- The Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program is the federal government’s major program for assisting very low-income families, the elderly, and the disabled to afford decent, safe, and sanitary housing in the private market.
- Low-income elderly, family, and disabled households generally pay private landlords no more than 40% of their income for rent and utilities.

- Units are offered based on availability.
- Households pay 30% of their income for rent.

Program Summary:
- In addition to its Rental Assistance and Subsidized Housing Programs, BWCHA is a partner in several affordable housing properties financed by Bonds and/or Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC).
- Households in this program earn 30% \\ 50% \\ 80% or 100% of area median income or less to qualify. Income limits and other eligibility requirements may vary by property.
- This type of housing does not use the Subsidized Housing Application or Waiting Lists.
- Indigo Real Estate Services, Inc. provides professional property management services for these properties.
