Unity Street Redevelopment 

BWCHA is redeveloping its former office site at Unity and Flora Streets, near downtown Bellingham. The Unity Street Redevelopment will offer affordable housing for a diverse range of low-income households, with units available to individuals and families earning between 30% and 60% of the Area Median Income (AMI)—equivalent to $26,040 to $52,080 per year for a two-person household as of 2025. A portion of the homes will also be reserved for people with disabilities. 

 

Project Status (as of May 2025): 
Funding commitments have been secured from the City of Bellingham, and additional support is being pursued from Whatcom County and Washington State.
