The Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) waiting list will open to accept applications on:
July 15, 2024, at 10AM – July 19, 2024, at 10AM
600 households will be randomly selected by lottery for placement onto the HCV waiting list. Pre-applications must be submitted online. To apply, click the button below.
Families who reside outside of Whatcom County at the time they submit the pre-application must reside in Whatcom County for the first twelve months of assistance.
Households must meet the minimum eligibility requirements and income limits at the time of selection:
- The head of household is 18 years of age or older or an emancipated minor
- At least one member of the family is a U.S. Citizen or non-citizen with eligible immigration status
- The household has an income at or below 50% of the area median income:
